| About the Artist |
|
My work is around the installation of various media such as the video, the photography, the sculpture and the use of objects and sometimes painting.
It questions the reports of seduction and repulsion which is played in the relation of the man to the object and the appropriation that it is done some: ritual, practices of the various groups of society, with a particular interest for the stereotypes of the popular culture.
I pick and reinvent an universe in which comes to mix various types of way of life in a quite personal vision.
I use the object as starting point, as principal character and it is him and the reflected narration, which enables me to determine the characters and the universes that I put in scene.
These questions carry out me to a total question which tries to locate the human idendity between disappearance, separation and presence or assimilation in his report with the object and the world of consumption and to thus question the identity conflicts and balance between fiction and reality.
I thus play much of the report at time and evolution (long pose, répetition, buckle, question of dead) and on the report of scale, the situation of the character in space compared to the objects and this, in the installation even of work.
Moreover, in my new research, I seek to make communicate in a more significant way in my installations, two times separate (but however dependent) of the action in the video or photography and of the not-action or simple observation in the installation (put in space of objects or sculptures).
The installation intervenes as a fall of the narration. Two moments which are answered and are complementary. |

| Meanwhile jelly (2006)
|
|
|
(Duration: 00:03:16)
Meanwhile jelly presents to us two dissociated moments. Video moment, an action which runs out in an unspecified time. Moment of deambulation in the setting in space, the fall of the action run out, an observation.
Moreover, one assembly of paintings and photographs while rising there will be associated in parallel.
Through the installation of a closed and asepticized universe wavering between the ludic one and the enigmatic one, it is a question of interrogating, as in the remainder of work, the ratios of seduction and of repulsion which is played between the man and the object in this value of time.
The project arrives from there at the fundamental questioning which tries to locate, human identity between disappearance, separation, and presence or assimilation through his report with the object and the world of consumption.

| Chicken sweet room (2006)
|
|
|
(Duration: 00:03:10)
'Chicken sweet room' puts in parallel the assembly line work (output, conditioning) and the ritual (tradition, prayer). What interests to me is to question the border between these two types of activities and the conflicts identity which are played it.
I have chooses to put in scene 4 Asian girls in a purified decoration made up of a large red carpet and black delimitation determining spaces of each « workers ».
The three girls in white sat on their knees and the girl black sat as a tailor. They do not carry a shoe, they have the eyes made up, carry lipstick and red varnish.Theirs gestures are slow and very cautiously.
Thus, the way that the characters have to carry out their action creates a shift between the output and the speed of execution which is necessary in the factories for the assembly line work, and suggests, in a more significant way, the slow and ordered actions preparation of a ritual.
Moreover, the chicken pyramid, in last line, brings the idea of the altar of prayer and each girl is glossy as for a ceremony.
What also interests me, in this piece, is the relation between the figure and the object. I seek thus, to question the trouble border between social representation and identity and how the figure disappears behind the action that they executed day after day, behind its uniform, the object which it handles.
