Black Flesh Video is a SUKA OFF section founded in 2000 by Piotr Wegrzynski to make video works in every mutation. BFV has no permanent members, there are different artists working on individual projects. BFV has made music videos and visuals for band and projects like: c.h.district, Nemezis, [vz], Siva Six and Synapscape. In 2005 the music video for “tiot” (c.h.district) was nominated for the Qwartz Electronic Music Award.
The recurring themes of SUKA OFF art are:
- the human carnality in all its biological and physiological aspects
- the attempt to define the “third sex” by bluring the individual attributes / sexual codes culturally arrogated to the male and female
- the mechanisms of human nature, the virus of violence and fear symbolised by synthetic fluids (liquid latex / acrylic paint)
- the search of alternative and radical forms of communication based on the connection between living human body and the functions of electronic devices
- the postindustrial aesthetics, a clash between the human body and steel / aluminum / concrete / silicone / post-technological substances
