| About the Artist |
My engagement with practice-led research over recent years (2001-05) involved an investigation of the notions of "territory". I developed the term Ground Erasure as a conceptual framework to explore the machinic spaces within which the contemporary artist is operating and creating strategies responding to issues of dislocation and deterritorialisation. My preoccupation with the conceptualities and undefined zones of territoriality continues. Materials to me are “processes”, malleable and able to unearth infinite possibilities. Connectivity inspires me as a creative platform informing and shaping new forms of art. |
| Artist's Videos |
| |
| speed journeys (2005)
(Duration: 00:15:36)
A geographical erasure - the speed of disappearing terrain transmutes into an infinite line of communication. (a/v loop)
| |
| tunnel vision (2005)
(Duration: 00:08:52)
A historical erasure – the walk and modulated sounds in the Terezienstadt war-camp tunnel become metonomy for the time-lap between life and death. (a/v loop)
| |
| sealand (2006/7)
(Duration: 00:00:53)
A double video installation politicising the line between land and sea. The 2 projection loops are aligned in a corner space to run in sync forming a panoramic-scape from one wall to the other.
